Trail Conditions

3/21/08/08 - EXCELLENT SPRING RIDING. WATCH OUT FOR OPENING WET HOLES. 90% of the trails have been groomed between yesterday and today. A couple inches of snow and rainfell, but no bother to the trails at all. Club house will be open Sat 3/22/08 only.

3/9/08/08 - Spring riding is still going on in Madison. Riders should be careful and watch for wet holes and soft spots.

2/23/08 - Our trails continue to be in excellent condition. Nightly grooming has resulted in very smooth riding.

2/10/08 - Conditions are AWESOME! Our trails are in great shape and grooming efforts are continuing. Stop by our clubhouse this weekend for lunch or our dinner. See our "About Us" page for details!

2/3/08 - Our trails are still OK for riding, but be sure to stay on the trails. Heavy traffic over the weekend accompanied by the warmer weather has exposed areas outside of the marked trails.

1/29/08 - Excellent trail conditions are to be had on all of Abnaki trails. Remember that the river crossing is closed, best bet to cross is to head north to Solon.

1/15/08 - 6" of new snow last night. This should help get things back into shape in places that we had some wear from the warm weather. Some of the wet holes are dangerous and caution is to be used when crossing. The upcoming freeze should help.

1/2/08 - 12" - 14" of new snow everywhere. There is a new bridge on Trail 44 as of 1/1/08. The trees are full of snow and hanging a bit, so use caution.

1/1/08 - Lots of new snow! We have been busy grooming. Beware of wet runoof in some of the fields. Also, Trail 27 South to Skowhegan has a wet hole due to the beavers, as does the trail to the River's Edge Restaurant. Remember to stop by our clubhouse during the weekends for a quick bite or hot cup of coffee.

12/23/07 - We have had good riding until today, as it was rainy and damp and the snow is settling. There are many wet holes to be cautious of and the snow cover has taken the frost out of the ground. Hopefully this will harden up and it will provide a good base.

12/7/07 - We have received 14 inches of fluffy snow. We have run a machine over the trails, but it is too fluffy and light to even pan drag at this time. The trails have been broken, but be aware, PART OF TRAIL 27 IS CLOSED UNTIL AFTER CHRISTMAS AND WATCH FOR WET HOLES, AS THERE IS STILL OPEN WATER THAT HAS NOT FROZEN. The clubhouse will be open starting 12/15/07 on both Sat. and Sun. 10-a.m. to 2 p.m.

11/7/07 - A taste of snow last weekend has gotten us all excited. Let's hope for a cold snowy season!

9/9/07 - Lots of work to be done to be ready for snow!
